South African side Mamelodi Sundowns will face FAR Rabat of Morocco in the CAF Champions League final following the conclusion of the semi-finals on Saturday.

Sundowns secured their place with a 2-0 aggregate win over Esperance of Tunisia. The South Africans won 1-0 in Saturday's return leg in Pretoria, with Brayan Leon on target as he continued his brilliant form since joining the club earlier this year.

In the other semi-final, FAR Rabat progressed despite a 1-0 defeat away to Renaissance Berkane in an all-Moroccan clash. FAR had won 2-0 in the first leg clash and just did enough to hold on and qualify with a 2-1 aggregate win.

Both finalists have previously won Africa's premier club competition. FAR Rabat lifted the title in 1985, while Sundowns were crowned champions in 2016.

The final will also see a meeting of Portuguese coaches, with Miguel Cardoso in charge of Sundowns and Alexandre Santos leading FAR. Cardoso will be appearing in a third consecutive Champions League final after previous appearances with Esperance and Sundowns.

The first leg of the final will be played in Pretoria on May 15, with the return leg scheduled for Rabat on May 24.
