Off the southern coast of Hainan Province lies Wuzhizhou Island, a tropical escape where clear turquoise waters meet white sandy beaches.

Since 2010, the island has developed a marine ranch and carried out large-scale coral reef restoration. As Hainan’s first national-level marine ranch demonstration area, it has delivered strong ecological benefits through a green “ecology + tourism” model.

Located in Sanya, Wuzhizhou Island is renowned for its rich marine ecosystem. Beneath its crystal-clear waters, colorful coral reefs and vibrant marine life create a breathtaking underwater landscape.

The island reflects Hainan’s approach to sustainable development, where environmental protection and tourism growth go hand in hand. As the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges unfolds, CGTN Africa invites you to experience the beautiful underwater world of Wuzhizhou Island.
