At least 31 people died in a grisly accident in northern Ethiopia early on Monday.
The accident occurred when a public transport bus traveling from Dessie City in the Amhara region toward the capital, Addis Ababa, lost control and plunged into a 100-meter-deep ravine.
The bus was carrying 64 passengers at the time.
According to the state-run Amhara Media Corporation, 33 other people sustained injuries, some minor and others serious.
The injured are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
