Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa and one of the fastest-growing airline brands globally, has announced its new flight service to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
"Ethiopian Airlines is increasing its service to the DRC with daily midday flights to and from Kinshasa starting December 1, 2026," the airline reported this week.
Ethiopian Airlines highlighted that its service expansion to the DRC's capital brings the Ethiopian flag carrier's services to and from Kinshasa to 21 weekly flights.
Alongside dedicated passenger and cargo services to Kinshasa, the airline also offers passenger flights to other destinations in the DRC, including Lubumbashi and Goma.
Ethiopian Airlines said that since the launch of its inaugural flight to the city back in 1975, it has been offering uninterrupted service to the destination, significantly contributing to the socio-economic ties between Kinshasa and the rest of its global network.
Furthermore, Ethiopian Airlines also partnered with the DRC government in December 2024 to launch Air Congo.
