Families and friends gather on October 2 to remember the 18 people killed in the Wedela tavern massacre in Carletonville, west of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Police say eight armed men stormed the tavern in Extension 3 on September 26, opening fire on patrons inside and outside.
The suspects, reportedly armed with AK-47 rifles and pistols, allegedly stole cellphones before fleeing in two unidentified vehicles. Two vehicles were also set alight.
Fifteen people were initially injured, while 17 were killed at the scene. One injured victim later died in hospital, bringing the death toll to 18.
No arrests have been made, and police say a manhunt for the suspects is ongoing.
