Libya's Minister of Economy and Trade Suhail Abu Shiha on Sunday issued a decision to regulate and control exports, imposing a series of restrictions on the export and re-export of goods and products, according to a ministry statement.
Under the decision, the export of all agricultural products is banned, with dates being the sole exception.
The decision also bans the export of locally produced food products until domestic market conditions stabilize, and prohibits the re-export of all types of imported goods and products.
The measure aims to regulate exports and safeguard the availability of goods and products in the local market, the statement said.
The decision comes as part of government measures to regulate foreign trade and ensure the availability of goods in the local market.
