At least 50 people died in a bus crash in Kericho County, Kenya early Wednesday morning.
The bus, ferrying 52 passengers, is said to have veered off the road while descending a steep slope. The bus then hit a guard rail, rolled and plunged down about 20 metres.
Fort Ternan police boss Charles Ocharo said it is suspected that the driver fell asleep as the bus descended the steep part of Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu highway.
The bus was traveling from Kenyan capital, Nairobi to Kisumu in the western part of the country.
